Taking inspiration again from the Square Tower, the interesting forms dictated by its defence roles in the past could be used in plan. I already plan to use the similar shape on the roof of my building to create an outdoor space similar to that used on the Square Tower. The Square Tower uses this space for drinks and communal settings before events such as weddings. I think a more modern take on the shape could be useful for events and communal occasions on top of my centre.
By extending the walls, we can create an effect where these functions are more seemingly more private. The main focus is the education hall/space and if you need to access the other functions you go through to that area. I like this as it puts the main focus on the issues at hand with education being put first just like it is in the exhibition areas on the upper floor.
