after studio feedback, it was brought up that the white concrete of the roof was actually a nice feature. therefore, i have experimented now with striking a balance, using the concrete to guide users along paths.
i really like how the nyc high line tackles this, employing masses of green vegetation as well as grasses, gradiating this into the flooring. the high line incorporates woodlands and greenery as well as well as sundecks and lookouts. it is a true communal space.
shorter grasses and flowers maintain the form of the roof but allow for paths to certain aspects of the pavilion roof to be forged. a path to the centre and the raised gazing platform. paths will forge their way around the roof leading people from the paths of the forest up to the paths on and within the building.
these concrete paths and greenery give an almost typical utopian feel, this building holds the future children.
