Using a site for 3D printing site terrain (commonly used by geographers) I was able to 3D print a version of my site, this is to scale (although not to a specific one - I chose to go as large as possible for the print bed). This is proving useful to have as a desk test model, I can see contours of the site as I model in 3D and use it as I sketch.
