Old Grosvenor Casino building was closed in 2015 and 50 jobs were lost. Today it is home to some of the best street art in the city.
Another hidden gem for street art can be found nearby on Tonbridge Street. Accessible via the alley between Debenhams and New Look you will find awesome collaborations between My Dog Sighs and Nol as well as work from Fark, Nightways and Syrup.
Another historic location for street art would be Portsmouth Football Club. Paul Burgoine, a London based photographer, describes “My favourite location was the South Stand at Fratton Park, the stadium is what I would consider to be a properly traditional British football ground! As a West Ham fan we have just lost our unique little ground within the heart of a community to move into the more impersonal London Stadium.” The artwork on show covers almost every part of the wall and incorporates many diverse styles.
